Nelson Young Parents’ School is a (centrally located) school for teenagers who are pregnant or have a child. It provides high quality education that meets the academic, social, emotional and cultural needs off the student.
Students are transported to and from school in the free YPS van (car seats supplied).
Our babies attend an onsite community based Kindergarten and food is supplied for them.
Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are developed based on individual students interests and career pathways. NCEA Level 1 to Level 3 and University Entrance are offered as well as STAR courses, Trades Academy and work experience.
