The Hawke’s Bay School for Teenage Parents is based at William Colenso College in Napier and provides an opportunity for young parents to complete their secondary education.
Our vision is to provide a safe caring environment, with experienced and committed teachers. We want our young parents and their children to be confident, connected, actively involved in their communities and to be lifelong learners.
Teachers were welcoming for baby and me, I felt safe.
What was good about it: all the girls, new friends, other babies, the teachers.
We were working with our babies near to us.
You learn at your own pace.
I like that its not like normal school and we are treated like adults.
You encourage and empower us.
