The students who attend Kimihia are a community of young women with goals to complete their secondary education and plan future pathways.
The students who attend Kimihia are a community of young women with goals to complete their secondary education and plan future pathways.
The young women are taught and supported by caring and fully qualified professional teachers and staff who have the students’ learning and well-being at heart, which enables achievement at NCEA Levels 1-3.
Education happens in and outside of the classroom as well, with culture and relationship building activities planned regularly. Some extra-curricular activities include yoga, swimming, bubble-time with the babies, excursions to the beach and local parks with our school mascots Honey the Golden Retriever and Oscar the Terrier.

Student Quote – “Joining Kimihia has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Kimihia has so much to offer young parents, not only NCEA, but so many opportunities to discover possible future pathways and create special relationships with many people.”
We have a close relationship with the Kimihia Early Learning Centre next door and you will have free access to your children during the day.
The friendly staff at Kimihia ELC help students to settle their child when they first start attending classes at Kimihia College. Lunches are provided for all children every day, free of charge.
